Hi
What a day. I am tired for some reason (it's only 9 pm!) but anyways other au pairs with an infant understands me. I think she might have a little cold or something. I don't know since I'm not a doctor. I took her down to Queen Bee to have break fast with the other au pairs in the area and it was great. Even though she got cranky and kinda blamed me for her fever. I was holding her the whole time and she was fozzy if I tried to make her rest in the stroller. Anyways, she was a cranky pants all the way home lucky for me I live near by!
I usually don't go out with her doing the day unless it's a normal walk or if I take her down town to see some different things but you don't say no when you get an invite.
Well, being an au pair is hard work but no one ever told me it wouldn't be. The preparation for this was tough! Cultural Care wanted my full medical record, criminal record and lots of references. It was worth it though since I'm happy to be here and my host family does a lot for me. They make sure I have days off so I can rest and be ready to take care of the baby and make sure we play guitar everyday (good thing about infants; they don't judge your talentlessness)
Another thing is that I have read a lot to her this week. She has been really tired and I don't know what else to with her when all she wants to do is hang out and be tired. That's why I wonder why I'm tired? She has been asleep so much today I should be fresh and seize the day! Okay, I can do that tomorrow xD
I met a Swedish au pair today and she totally agreed with me about one thing; Americans do not know how to eat lacorice! I will teach them though.
I really need to head to the bank and get a saving account because I'm afraid that I have a Wish addiction x_x and I want to be able to travel while I'm here. I'm a 2 hours drive away from the Canadian border so of course that will be a place to visit.
Oh yeah let's save the boring adult stuff for another day....
Good night
